Pouts & Petticoats

It was another spectacular night at this year's Miss Diamond Pin Up Pageant. Seven beautiful women hit the runway to rock their vintage inspired looks. It was tough competition but in the end there could be only one winner with "Miss Lady Luck", Louise Geoghegan, claiming the crown.

We were also treated to a burlesque show by Madeline Glasseater and some sizzling pole dancing action from the very bendy ladies of The Pole Gym Ipswich.

I was fortunate enough to be asked back for my second year as a judge and a sponsor, providing the design for all marketing material for the event. Good times, definitely looking forward to next year's event.

You can see some photos from the night here via Dirt Dolls Promotions, and check organiser, Diamond Cut's Facebook page for future pin up happenings.

Real Positions logo redesign

Real Positions is a recruitment agency, based in Qld, Australia, that focuses on two industries; fashion and real estate. With the expansion of the business, and the separation of these very different fields into two websites a re-brand was in order.

I decided to work from the existing concept, further stylise it and create a more modern and clean image. Also, a little bit of Helvetica never hurt anyone.

Meanwhile, if you're looking for staff or a position in real estate or fashion, hit them up on the Real Positions website.

What I've Pin Up to.

Last year I was asked to judge the Miss Diamond Pin Up Pageant for my client Diamond Cut Hair & Makeup Studio. It was a great night with tough competion, lots of fun, and they kindly kept me in whiskey for it's entirety. You can see photos (NSFW) from the evening over at Diamond Cut's facebook page here.

New posters!

I was commissioned to create three posters for a client for gigs between January & April. Different lineups, different venues and different feels.

1. Went a little retro for this one, going for a kind of Paul Butterfield @ Fillmore East feel. If I had my druthers I'd use this style of typography on every poster :)
If you find yourself in Northern NSW, drop into Stokers Siding Hall, looks like some great shows

2. A little cleaner design for an acoustic gig at Chevron Island's best cafe/bar/music venue. Japanese beer and blues - you can't go wrong!

3. B.U.D. (Burleigh Underground Drummers) is a great little private venue tucked away in Burleigh's industrial district. I used my own foot pedal for a model for this one- first time it's been out of my harmonica case in about a year...
